Updates for PC-DMIS Inspect

The latest PC-DMIS includes updates ain improvements for PC-DMIS inspect that introduces several useful enhancements that give operators greater flexibility and control. You can now insert empty cells in a pallet and edit playlists during execution to update routines on the fly. Administrators can manage privileged settings for non-admin users and assign full access through the new PC-DMIS Programmer group without granting system admin rights. Additionally, you can now add prefixes to Counter-type trace fields, making traceability data easier to organise. 

New Calypso Converter for ZEISS Users

For Manufacturers that will be transitioning from ZEISS Calypso, PC-DMIS 2025.2 introduces a new Calypso Converter feature. This allows a direct conversion of Calypso programmes into PC-DMIS format. Therefore, reducing reprogramming time and preserving measurement logic. This feature is also available to MyCare/SMA customers. 

Enhanced Metrology Reporting 

PC-DMIS 2025.2 has updated metrology reporting, with smarter, more customisable tools. You can now view critical alerts in the event log, apply preferred formats through global settings, and add customer logos for consistent branding. The addition of improved form plot also makes reports clearer and more informative, helping teams to share and interpret quality data more effectively. 

Freeform Scan with Fixed Nominals 

The new Freeform Scan with Fixed Nominals option in PC-DMIS 2025.2 offers greater precision when measuring complex shapes. By selecting ‘FIXED’ from the Nominals Method List, users can now capture measured values at specific, predetermined points along a 3D curve. Using a GD&T 3D compensation method, this feature delivers highly accurate, deviation data at critical locations. Ideal for applications where exact measurements at key points are essential for quality control. 

Quick Feature and MSE Improvements 

The latest PC-DMIS update improves Quick Feature and Measurement Strategy Editor tools for more efficient freeform scanning. Users can now define inner, outer or inner and outer perimeter paths simultaneously and adjust smart parameters such as offsets and jump holes with new grid control. These enhancements make scan setup faster and more precise
