NEW: 2D Scan Plotting Tool

Gather a significantly clearer visual representation of an object’s surface using the new 2D Scan Plotting Tool. With benefits such as being able to easily identify abnormalities, this new function can be used to highlight notable regions – making it easier to focus on tolerance breaches.

NEW: Gaussian Filter Tools (GD&T Library Dependent)

The new ISO_16610 Gaussian Filter helps you to reduce scan noise for any 2D curve. With its predecessor only supporting circles or straight lines, this new filter is more user-friendly and requires fewer input parameters.

NEW: ATS800 Tracker Support

With the collaboration of PC-DMIS and ATS800 large-scale inspections are cut from hours to minutes with the support of a new AI-Powered Feature Scan function that automatically identifies features to scan and measure.

NEW: Brightness Control for HP-L-10.10 Camera

PC-DMIS 2025.1 introduces brightness control for the Overview Camera (OVC) when using the HP-L-10.10 sensor. The live video stream in the OVC window now allows operators to adjust the brightness for improved visibility when parts appear too dark or unclear.

NEW: MEASTRO CMM Support

Following the new technology behind PC-DMIS 2025.1, users are now able to use this software with Maestro, the next-generation CMM from Hexagon. By creating an all-digital CMM system, it streamlines processes and slashes over-reliances on specialist skills – making it accessible for all users.

PC-DMIS 2025.1 introduces the new environment builder utility, enabling users to digitally configure probes and sensors while visualising the entire measurement setup. By creating accurate digital twins of the CMM, racks and fixtures, it allows for precise simulation of probe calibrations – ensuring collision-free execution before any physical operation.

Improved Auto Feature Plane Measurement Strategy

PC-DMIS 2025.1 enhances scan path generation with greater control and automation through the Auto Feature dialog. Users can now define scan boundaries using new Inner and Outer options for Adaptive and TTP Free Form Plane strategies, streamlining setup with a single click. The addition of Jump Hole Along and Jump Hole Around option enables intelligent path adjustments, either breaking the scan when a point falls within a hole or detection holes in all directions to avoid collisions. These features are powered by smart new calculation capabilities for Boundary, Jump Hole and First Diameter parameters, which now display visual indicators to signal automated optimisation

QIF Export Enhancements

The most recent update of PC-DMIS brings important upgrades to its QIF (Quality Information Framework) export capabilities, making it easier to share rich, standardised inspection data across systems. The latest update includes support for Embedded Model-Based Definition (MBD), allowing data to be stored directly within the file, therefore eliminating the need for separate documentation. Users can now also export Multi-Part Inspection data, allowing more efficient batch processing and traceability. Also, the export function now includes individual point data, providing a higher level of detail.

Siemens Teamcenter v13.2 Integration

PC-DMIS 2025.1 offers enhanced integration with Siemens Teamcenter, enabling manufactures to streamline workflows and uphold organisational standards across the product lifecycle. Now compatible with Teamcenter v13.2 and its four-tier architecture, this release adds support for custom item types, default object types, probe configurations, and revision tracking – guaranteeing smoother data exchange and improved traceability within complex manufacturing environments.
