Machine Upgrades and Retrofits

There are a variety of different components that can be upgraded or retrofitted to make sure your CMM exceeds expectations when it comes to quality and efficiency. Needing to upgrade your CMM is completely normal and comes from technological advances within industries.

Calibration

To be able to rely on your CMM for consistent measuring results, CMM calibration is essential in helping your machine perform within required parameters. We know that some CMM calibrations can be completed using an artefact. However, more demanding calibrations may require the use of a laser interferometer.

Preventative CMM Maintenance Vs Ad-hoc CMM Servicing

Preventative maintenance is one of the best ways to keep your CMM running smoothly. With a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) agreement, service engineers will visit your site on scheduled dates throughout the year. This promise reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns and saves you the hassle of handling repairs yourself.  

Ad-hoc servicing, on the other hand, is much more reactive. You’ll need to identify any issues or potential problems and reach out to your service provider when needed. While this works for some, Status would highly recommend a PPM plan for your peace of mind (and less downtime!). But we’re always here to adapt our services to fit your specific needs. 

Emergency Repair

CMM’s aren’t always perfect. Sometimes they can fail and unexpectedly stop working, or a specific part can break. If this is the case, part of the Status service offer can provide you with an engineered called out to your location to get your CMM back up and running as soon as possible ensuring minimal downtime.
