Shipping CMM’s Internationally – Doesn’t Need To Be A Headache
After 25 years of successful trading, we’re proud that we’ve managed to recruit an enviable, loyal client base here the UK. However, you may be surprised to learn that our services reach significantly further afield than England’s green and pleasant land. Our dedicated and experienced engineering and training teams relish the opportunity to top up their air miles, wrap up warm or pop on their sunglasses! Over the years Status have found themselves assigned to projects in the following locations:-
So, if you’re a UK based engineering company with overseas facilities or foreign buyer looking to acquire CMM equipment in the UK and then export it, Status Metrology can help you. The process is thorough but relatively straight forward, once you’ve decided which CMM machine needs moving where our engineers will arrive at the appropriate location to professionally decommission the CMM, the CMM will then be carefully transported to our crating facility where the CMM would be securely crated up for safe international transit.
When the crated CMM is ready for dispatch we’ll arrange for your CMM to arrive at the appropriate port at the correct time and date required for shipping. Status can even manage the licencing side of the shipping process on your behalf to help reduce the paperwork burden. Once the CMM’s arrived at your premises our engineers would recommission, test, calibrate (to UKAS ISO10360-2 standards) and then deliver bespoke training for your programmers and operators. Our bespoke training courses aren’t simply starting at page one of a textbook and work through from there. Status Metrology’s trainers receive excellent feedback and we partly attribute that to using ‘your’ parts, CAD files and drawings during the training we deliver. During the course as the programmer’s knowledge transforms so do the tools available as the programmer creates completed programs ready to inspect components immediately.
