It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
When Santa’s little helpers lost the drawings to Santa’s world famous ‘Santa salt shaker’ they knew exactly who to call. Our Application Manager, Jonathan, immediately rose to the challenge, having been on the good list all the way back to 2004 he was keen to maintain that status. 2003 is a year that he prefers not to mention, it involved a football and a greenhouse. Say no more…
This test piece is actually a serious exercise for an exciting project that we hope to be able to reveal more details about soon. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the man in red and lots to do with high performance cars. For these measurements, we opted for a 2.5m Absolute Arm supplied by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence using PC-DMIS CAD++ with scanning and the amazing RS3 Laser Scanner.
With literally millions of data points collected within a point cloud, a mesh can easily be created and then imported into varying CAD packages. We have our very own Chris Kringle on stand by to make this model production ready!
That’s enough of the Christmas references, we get it.
